Description

Continue building a solid foundation with Dennis Auslam’s Bridle Up Horsemanship clinic. Students will participate in a 2 day clinic focused on improving communication and building their relationship with their horse from the saddle.

2 days – 10 am to 4 pm with a one hour lunch break
Location – At Redwood Stables

Day 1:

• Learn how to soften the horse into the bridle vertically and laterally improving the horse / rider connection
• Build on the softness to moving the horses feet; teach cooperative and proper ‘whoa’s’

Day 2:

• The second day focuses on lateral movements; how to move the shoulders and begin collection (self-carriage)
• Pulling the pieces together, riders will learn the mechanics of teaching your horse how to open and shut a gate from the saddle; keeping safety top of mind for both horse and rider.
